Many bee hive makers are people who do not keep bees but enjoy making things. I offer the best of both worlds. I have kept honey bees for 10 years and I am also a retired engineer who enjoys designing hives and solving problems. I am passionate about the natural environment and have spent twenty years of my working career in Denmark where they respect greener approaches. I embrace this and have tried to design hives which are affordable, flexible and practical for both the bees and the beekeeper. I work hard to source quality components and apply a scientific eye for detail with regard to what the bees want and how they might use the space. All hives on this website have been designed and made by myself.
